Does any of this sound like you?

I struggle to keep my blood sugars balanced, despite my best efforts

Even though I want to, I find exercising with type 1 too difficult

There’s so much conflicting nutrition advice, I don’t know what I should be eating

I’ve tried keto, intermittent fasting and veganism and I just don’t know what works

I’m so focused on my numbers, I’m getting burnt out

I am falling out of love with food

I’m going round and round in circles with my control

I’m fed up of people saying ‘just eat fewer carbs and you’ll be fine’ and I know it’s not that simple

Are you wishing for

Tailored and specific nutrition advice for your body’s requirements?

More time in range?

Space and time with a type 1 diabetes expert to be seen and heard?

More understanding of how specific foods affect your body and your type 1 diabetes?

A way of exercising that fits in with your life and your type 1 diabetes?

Support from someone who gets it?

“Beth's expertise in type one diabetes and autoimmune disease really helped me to understand how my body is working. She is friendly and supportive, and her focus on adding nourishment as opposed to eliminating foods, is refreshing. She also takes the time to focus on relationships with food and the emotional aspects of eating, which has been incredibly helpful. Thank you Beth!”

What if I told you that…

Our work could transform you from a place of feeling lost and unsure about your T1D management, to a place of balance, empowerment and living in harmony with your T1D?

Who is it for?

Reset and Rebalance is designed for people with T1D who are ready to commit to their health and wellness and prioritise themselves. It’s for T1Ds who want to receive invaluable 1:1 support, find peace with their diabetes, re-write their relationship with food, make hugely impactful lifestyle and dietary changes and reach a place of effortless blood sugar balancing and intuitive eating.

This programme is right up your street if: you’re ready to make impactful and positive changes and you recognise that making these lifestyle and mindset shifts is not always easy, but is so worthwhile. Whether you’re recently diagnosed, or have who have lived with T1D for many years and need a helping hand – this is for you.

This package is built for people with T1D, by someone with T1D

What does Reset and Rebalance involve?

A comprehensive 3 month programme of in-depth 1:1 work that focuses on getting your T1D back on track

The programme is a mixture of hourly calls every other week, regular email check-ins, actionable goals tailored to you, a bespoke nutrition plan that increases your insulin sensitivity and improves your TIR, education and guidance on exercise, and support for the emotional aspects of T1D and your relationship to food. You will have access to me throughout the duration of the programme, as I know that things crop up outside of our sessions together.

What will we cover?

Month 1 – let’s nail the foundations:

Planning session (you tell me exactly what you want to achieve by the end of month 3)

Full audit of current lifestyle + diet to see what's working and what isn't

Deep dives into blood sugar patterns + insulin sensitivity

Review of recent blood test results you’ve had done, including HbA1C

A completely bespoke nutrition plan tailored to your needs

Month 2 – let’s get into the nitty-gritty:

The cornerstones of insulin sensitivity

Relationship with food pieces

Exercise guidance

Supporting other hormones (stress, monthly cycle)

Month 3 – let’s start to fine-tune:

Digestive health, including specific nutrients you may need

Stress management techniques + mindfulness

How to sustain these changes long-term

Road map to success

OK, Beth, sounds good - but how do we do it?

  1. My approach is completely tailored and person-centred (1:1 is where the magic happens). If something isn't working, we change it

  2. I spend at least 2.5 hours researching your individual situation, symptoms and latest evidence-based nutrition interventions tailored to your needs and goals

  3. We'll build the nutrition plan up gradually, introducing new recommendations slowly

  4. I'll guide you through behaviour change techniques to ensure long-lasting changes

  5. We’ll work to move away from the diet mentality so you’ll never feel restricted or guilty about your food choices again

  6. We’ll focus on your mindset (how you can best show up for your diabetes and yourself)

  7. Bespoke functional testing recommendations (if appropriate)

  8. Customised supplementation guide (if appropriate)

My approach combines the latest evidence-based advice with person-centred care. You’re in safe hands. I know how tough it can be to implement changes - I’ve been there - but I promise it’s worth it and you won’t be doing it alone.

“Beth is amazing. I was diagnosed with LADA in 2020 and have really struggled with controlling the diabetes, weight gain, self-esteem and further autoimmune diseases. I worked with Beth over the 12 weeks to look at getting all the ducks in a row. She was motivating and positive, taking time to think about me holistically. I had a number of life challenges and health issues during our time together and she helped me to navigate through this and the impact on my blood glucose levels. By the end of our time together my confidence has grown, my HbA1c and time in range has improved and I have learned ways to manage this. I still have more work to do, I think T1D never stops needing work, but Beth has started me on my way. The best decision I have made to look after myself - working with Beth!”

FAQs

What happens if I want to sign up?

Great, I’m so pleased you’re interested! Click on the sign up button below to apply. We’ll jump on a clarity call for us to get to know each other and see if we’re a good fit. It’s important to me that Reset and Rebalance is the right programme for you at this moment in time. If it’s not, I’ll explain why and suggest some other options for you (another practitioner or another type of work).

Can I still sign up even if I’m not in the UK?

Absolutely, all our work can be done digitally - Zoom calls, emails, time difference wizardry. Geography does not need to be a barrier.

What if it doesn’t work, or I fail?

Failure is quite a subjective concept. There isn’t a magic wand when it comes to nutrition work and I can’t guarantee that you’ll feel exactly the way you want to at the end of our sessions together. What I can promise you is that I’ll guide you to take action (the only way to see progress and change) and I’ll make my recommendations as realistic and doable for you. I’ll nudge you if you need it, and support you in the ways that best work for you. Making space to even consider doing Reset and Rebalance is already a pretty good step in the right direction – I’d consider that a win already.

Will I have time?

Only you will know if you’re ready to commit to this work and make time and space for it. From my perspective, I aim to be as flexible as possible by offering evening slots – I know how busy life can get! – and my recommendations will be completely tailored to you, your life and what is possible (FYI effective nutrition doesn’t need to be complex).

Why are places limited?

The programme involves a lot of in-depth and hands on support from me. I limit the number of people I work with so I’m able to properly offer you that.

Why don’t you offer one-off sessions?

After years of clinical practice I know that long-term change takes time. There are no quick fixes, especially in the chronic health territory. Building in different habits, and dropping things that don’t serve you, is a process that takes time. I wouldn’t expect anyone to do that quickly. Plus, this work is about me holding space for you and the relationship between us. This takes time to build and grow, and I find works best over a period of months. Slow and steady, sustainable changes, for long-term health and glory. That’s the order of the day.
